For the third consecutive year, ADMAF in partnership with the Film and New Media at NYUAD, are delivering two training sessions in 2018 focusing on screenwriting and directing actors/non-actors. The training sessions are 3 days in length, covering theory and practice. Be part of this select group and learn about theory and practice as you develop your idea into a compelling short screenplay.
At the end of the program, one screenwriter will be awarded a professional development course in the UAE or abroad.

Day 1: 29 March (Thursday)
10am – 12pm: Workshop submitted stories
1pm – 2pm: Lunch
2pm – 6pm: Practical (developing & writing the script)
Day 2: 30 March (Friday)
10am – 12pm: Practical (developing & writing the script)
12pm – 2pm: Prayer + Lunch
2pm – 7pm: Practical (developing & writing the script)
Day 3: 31 March (Saturday)
10am – 1pm: Practical (developing & writing the script)
1pm – 2pm: Lunch
2pm – 7pm: Practical (developing & writing the script)
6pm – 7pm: Short films screening and discussion
Terms and Conditions:
- Applicant must have completed at least one writing sample with proper script formatting in English or Arabic (minimum of 3 pages)./
- Applicant must provide a minimum of 2 ideas for a short film, each in a 1 paragraph synopsis
- Applicant must be available to attend all sessions, as per the schedule above.
Applicant must be 18 years and above.
